In January 2026 we moved to a model of whole school planning, which takes into account progression of all learning, including meta-skills, rights and the nurturing principles from the age of three to twelve, through Interdisciplinary Learning.

This is supportive practice for children, staff, ELC practitioners and teachers, as the collaboration of sharing ideas and imagination means that we can maximize our creativity to produce an excellent plan for learning across the school; one that is linked to a central topic, but explores ideas and interests prompted by the children – enabling ownership and engagement.

The Curriculum Improvement Cycle Draft Papers will be released for use in August 2026.

In preparation for the changes, we have worked on two IDLs; The Snow Queen and The World Cup. Next session we plan to work on the topic, “Gaia – Mother of All”.
